Become a good manager

There are several facts we have consider for becoming a good manager according to my knowledge.
Acknowledge the own staff is very important factor.
Another factor is Motivate people. There are so many motivation factors. (http://www.bizhelp24.com/employment-and-personal-development/motivation-in-the-workplace-2.html) The manager should know values of employees and make sure the make the environment better place to work. He or she can encourage them to honest and be friendly with team members by becoming a good listener. If the manager, manage by respecting team's values, team will give you fullest of their effort.
Knowledge sharing is a another factor. Manager should be a good teacher and understand his employees strengths and weaknesses. Manager must learn knowledge management as well. (http://www.systems-thinking.org/kmgmt/kmgmt.htm)
Another factor is learn from their own mistakes. If he or she doing the same mistake again and again , must have to find a solution for that. Manager can share his knowledge with others by discussing how he overcome with it. Important to notice that you cannot learn without doing mistakes. But quality manager get to know his mistakes and do the correct thing as soon as possible.
Treating everyone equally in the company is another factor that quality managers are always doing as a practice. They do not shy to away from positive feedback to his staff team. If you are annoyed with someone on your team, or any team member have done something wrong, make sure not to insult him in public. If you humiliate someone, he or she will hold a grudge against you, and their work will suffer too.
Manager should be a good communicator. Make sure he or she to ensure that people can understand the request. Otherwise the solution will be differ what you ask for.
Finally I would like to say that we can learn many valuable facts by referring "Organizational Behavior". Next I would like to talk about 'Can technical person become a good manager without any management background?'
